Tap multiplexed fibre grating-based optical transversal filter

The authors demonstrate the effectiveness of a tap multiplexing technique t hat enables the doubling of the number of taps in a photonic traversal filt er. This technique has been used to achieve a fibre grating-based optical t raversal filter with the equivalent of 16 taps. The authors also demonstrat e the technique in combination with apodisation of the photonic traversal f ilter.
