Abstract
This paper examines the problems associated with using power system reliabi lity cost/worth techniques in a developing country, and presents methods to develop planning criteria incorporating explicit recognition of reliabilit y worth. The developed methods are illustrated by application to the Nepal Integrated Electric Power System.
