Abstract
An electrical activity of slices of field-type neural tissues, namely the h ippocampal slices, simulated by a 2D CML with piecewise-linear sigmoid nonl inearity, is studied. Under the combined action of internal white noise and small external periodic signal the system exhibits stochastic resonance.
