Abstract
Pneumothorax is a rare event during pregnancy. We present two cases of pneu mothorax occurring after caesarean section under general anaesthesia, inclu ding one tension pneumothorax. We summarise risk factors for developing a p neumothorax during pregnancy and discuss differential diagnosis and the ana esthetic management in the labour ward. (C) 2000 Harcourt Publishers Ltd.
