Abstract
A technique for digital pad transposition is described and illustrated This technique has application for use in cases of metacarpal or meta tarsal pad neoplasia or severe trauma. The transposed digital pad will provide a weight-bearing surface of heavy, keratinized epidermis in c ases where the normal metacarpal or metatarsal footpad has been remove d. The use of the technique in four clinical cases of footpad neoplasi a also is reported.
