Abstract
The theory of parametric generation and amplification in artificially gyrot ropic (magneto-optic) media is presented. Complete solutions for signal and idler are given in terms of Stokes' parameters, and polarization state dep endences of applied static magnetic field strength are discussed in terms o f trajectories of the reduced Stokes vector on the Poincare sphere.
