Abstract
Seven Zingiberaceous taxa in Globba L. and Hedychium Koenig are report ed here for the first time from Bangladesh, viz. Globba bracteolata Wa ll. ex. Baker, G. clarkei Baker, G. pendula Roxb., G. racemosa Smith, Hedychium coronarium var. flavum (Roxb.) Baker, H. glaucum Roscoe and H. griffithianum Roxb. All the species of Globba and Hedychium that oc cur in Bangladesh are separately keyed out.
