Abstract
Genomic DNAs from 3 species of Metagonimus in the Republic of Korea, M. yok ogawai, M. miyatai, and M. takahashii, were amplified by simple sequence re peat anchored polymerase chain reaction. Primers of 3' or 5' termini of the (CA), repeats were used; 3 kinds of 3' anchored primers (CA)(8)RG, (CA)(4) RG, and (CA)(8)RY, and 2 kinds of 5' anchored primers BDB(CA)(7)C and DBDA( CA)(7). The results showed distinguishable banding patterns among the 3 spe cies of Metagonimus, suggesting that they have different genotypes.
