Abstract
The point-by-point mapping and global images of the surface-enhanced resona nce Raman scattering (SERRS) spectra obtained from Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) m onolayers of bis(benzimidazo)perylene (AzoPTCD) on silver island films are reported. The mapping and global Raman images of the LB-coated silver surfa ces were obtained using 514.5 nn laser radiation. Visualization of the vari ation of the SERRS intensity across a 40 x 40 mu m rough metal surface is a chieved. Absorption W-VIS and emission spectra of AzoPTCD solutions and mon olayers on glass and silver islands are discussed. Surface-enhanced fluores cence (SEF) of the excimer emission from aggregates in LB film has been obs erved. The enhancement factors for SEF and SERS are discussed.
