Abstract
Q-CdSe thin films have been prepared by liquid-liquid interface reaction te chnique (LLIRT). The films were characterized by transmission electron micr oscopy, electron diffraction (ED), UV-visible spectroscopy and X-ray photoe lectron spectroscopy (XPS). The optical property, namely, optical absorptio n has been studied. The results show that CdSe is deposited as cubic-domina ted polycrystalline phase with spherical nanometer sized small particles. T he optical absorption shows blue shift, a characteristic of its Q nature. ( C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
