Silica gels derived from an acid-catalyzed tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS)
system were calcined after different duration of ambient drying, and their
mesopore structure and surface fractal dimensions are investigated. The lar
gest mesopore porosity is found in the sample with long period of ambient d
rying, while the sample calcined without drying exhibits the lowest surface
fractal dimensions. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
