Abstract
The microstructure of manganese ferrite powder obtained from MnO2 and FeSO4 . 7H(2)O by coprecipitation and aging in isothermal static conditions at t emperatures lower than 100 degreesC, has been investigated by X-ray diffrac tion (XRD), Mossbauer spectroscopy, granulometry and scanning electron micr oscopy (SEM). The results reveal the influence of the temperature on the pa rticle size distribution as well as on the structure and composition of the ferrite phase. Some magnetic properties of the ferrite powders are present ed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
