Abstract
Phospholipid and fatty acid composition of seeds of two Bulgarian species o f tobacco are presented. The total content of glyceride oil in Rila 89 (ori ental) and Coker 254 (Virginia) tobacco seeds was found to be 34.5% and 39. 0%, respectively. The general content of phospholipids is 0.3% in both samp les. Phosphatidylinositol (21.2% and 30.5%), phosphatidylcholine (25.5% and 11.4%) and phosphatidylethanolamine (7.7% and 14.1%) predominate in the ph ospholipid fraction. The main fatty acid components in the seed glyceride o ils are linoleic acid (48.8% and 14.9%) and oleic acid (23.3% and 43.8%).
