The structure of [C2H4(NH3)(2)][UO2(SO4)(2).H2O] (I), prepared by the react
ion of uranyl and ethylenediammonium sulfates in an aqueous solution, is st
udied by X-ray diffraction. The crystals are monoclinic; the unit cell para
meters are a 15.614(3) Angstrom, b = 7.319(2) Angstrom, c = 11.687(2) Angst
rom, beta = 118.51(3)degrees, Z = 4, space group C2/c. Crystal structure I
contains the [UO2(SO4)(2).H2O](infinity)(2-) chains of the crystal-chemical
formula AB(2)(2)M(1) (A = UO2).
