Abstract
Extraction of trace amounts of Sc, Co, Zn, Ga, Y, Zr, Mo(VI), Cd, In, Sb(V) , Sn(IV), Te(IV), La, Hg(II), TI(III), Bi, Th, and U(VI) from chloride solu tions is studied in relation to the alkylene bridge length in tetraphenylal kylenediphosphine dioxide molecule, the structure of alkyl substituents in the ethylene bridge, and the nature of substituents at a phosphorus atom. T he selectivity of the extractant is studied in relation to the same factors .
