Abstract
Harnessing new technology, surgeons are steadily modifying approaches, in a n effort to reduce surgical trauma to the repair of congenital heart defect s. Operating through small incisions and using an array of enabling instrum entation, it is possible to repair many congenital heart lesions without th oracotomy or sternotomy, and without sacrificing operative precision or sur gical outcomes.
