OBJECTIVE. We reassessed the radiographic findings of giant hyperplastic po
lyps in the stomach on double-contrast upper gastrointestinal examinations
in seven patients.
CONCLUSION, Giant hyperplastic polyps in the stomach may be manifested by d
istinctive findings on double-contrast barium sudies, appearing as polypoid
lesions with multiple lobulated components that form a conglomerate mass.
Nevertheless, endoscopy and biopsy are required to rule out a polypoid carc
inoma as the cause of these findings.
