Abstract
A new species of Ernobius Thomson, E. vinolasi, is described from the Cies Islands (Northwest of the Iberian peninsula). The species' affinities with the E. pini (Sturm) group of species are analyzed. The specimens were found in wood of Pinus pinaster Aiton.
