Abstract
Synthetic boron-doped diamond (BDD) thin film electrodes have been tested f or the electrogeneration of silver (II). In nitric acid, the kinetics of th e silver (I)/silver (II) couple have been studied by cyclic voltammetry. Th e results demonstrate that silver (II) can be produced with high current ef ficiency by silver (I) oxidation at BDD electrodes. At low concentration of nitric acid and high concentration of silver (I), AgO is formed on the ele ctrode surface. (C) 2000 The Electrochemical Society. S1099-0062(00)06-076- 4. All rights reserved.
