We re-estimate the tensor susceptibility of the QCD vacuum, chi, and to thi
s end, we re-estimate the tensor coupling constants for the transversely po
larized rho-, rho'- and b(1)-mesons. The origin of the susceptibility is an
alyzed using (anti-)duality between the rho- and b(1)- channels in the 2-po
int correlator of the tensor currents. We conclude that the origin of the d
ifferences in rho- and b(1)-meson masses and tensor couplings is the (anti-
)duality breakdown in QCD due to the 4-quark condensate. We confirm the res
ults of Govaerts et al. for the a-point correlator of the tensor currents a
nd disagree with Belyaev and Oganesyan on both the OPE expansion and the va
lue of the QCD vacuum tensor susceptibility. Using our value for the latter
we determine new estimations of the nucleon tensor charges related to the
first moment of the transverse structure function h(1) of a nucleon.
