P. Sedlacek et al., Monitoring of minimal residual disease and mixed chimerism in a case of high-risk TEL/AML1-positive acute lymphocytic leukemia, HAEMATOLOG, 85(10), 2000, pp. 1100-1102
We report the case of a child with acute lymphocytic leukemia with a combin
ation of positive (TEL/AML1 positivity, age, low level minimal residual dis
ease before bone marrow transplantation) and negative (poor prednisone resp
onse, high leukocytosis) prognostic features. We used molecular-genetic tec
hniques and flow cytometry for the follow-up of minimal residual disease.
