Abstract
Fungi cause opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients. In the case of Cryptococcus neoformans infection, diffusion to meninges is a typic al occurrence. We report the case of a 13-year old child who owned a lovebi rd and who developed cryptococcal meningitis during chemotherapy for interm ediate risk acute lymphocytic leukemia.
