Abstract
This paper discusses the influence of predation by a planktivorous fish on zooplankton assemblages within experimental billabongs. Results suggest tha t the presence of a small planktivorous fish in experimental billabongs had only a small influence on the structure of zooplankton assemblages and den sities of rotifers. Microcrustacean populations were dominated by juveniles , however there were greater numbers of juveniles when the planktivorous fi sh were present.
