Abstract
In this paper, finite element analysis (FEA) of a hysteresis motor using a magnetization-dependent model is presented. The hysteresis loop in the hyst eresis ring is calculated from the maximum flux density which is obtained b y the FEA, The proposed method is applied to a sample motor and the simulat ion result shows a very good agreement with the experimental one, Various f ormulations for hysteresis region are compared and it is found that pseudo- permeability method is most effective.
