Abstract
A generalized mathematical model describing the dynamics of magnetic held i nfluence on a conducting liquid in a square cavity is presented. A method o f a biharmonic mathematical model with stream function Psi, and the magneti c potential A was used. The Galerkin method was applied to solve a system o f two variational identities. A numerical finite element algorithm based on the second order elements was developed, In the algorithm the Newton-Raphs on method is used to solve the resulting nonlinear system. Numerical experi ments with different Reynolds (R-e,R-m) and Hartmann (H-a) numbers were pre sented in graphical form.
