Abstract
In this communication, an approach is presented for error estimation based on the nonverification of the constitutive relationship. This method consis ts in constructing a complementary admissible field from the one calculated by finite element method, It is based on a tree technique. This method has been applied in the cases of vector and scalar potential 2D formulations, To show its effectiveness, two magnetostatic examples have been studied. Th e results given by the proposed estimator are compared to the one based on both finite element complementary potential formulations.
