Abstract
A new parameterization technique which allows rapid alteration of an initia l template 2D or 3D finite element mesh is described.;in advantage of this method is that once a template mesh has been set up, new devices similar to that of the template can be modeled easily by altering the contents of a s imple form or file. These alterations can be easily carried out by a casual user or by an optimization program.
