Abstract
Oxotetraazamacrocyclic transition metal complexes, [(MLCl2)-Cl-1] or [(MLCl 2)-Cl-2] [M = Co-II, Ni-II, Cu-II and Zn-II] have been synthesized by the t emplate condensation reaction of o-aminobenzoic acid, diethylenetriamine an d 1,3-dibromopropane or dibromoethane in methanol medium. All the complexes have been characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR, E PR, UV-vis, conductivity and magnetic moment data. All the complexes are no n-ionic in nature and exhibit an octahedral geometry.
