The disc-like organ of the Lestoniidae (Heteroptera : Pentatomoidea), withremarks on lestoniid relationships

The morphology of the 'disc-like organ' of Lestonia haustorifera is describ ed on the basis of SEM-techniques. There is evidence for a gland function o f this organ. The homology of the disc-like organ of Lestoniidae with Pende rgrast's organ of Acanthosomatidae and the phylogenetic relationships of Le stoniidae within Pentatomoidea are discussed.
