Abstract
In previous studies of the relation between mitral annulus motion (MAM) and left ventricular election fraction (EF), a linear relationship has been su ggested. In this meta-analysis of 434 patients, we show that the relation i s nonlinear and that a linear regression model overestimates EP in the lowe r range of MAM. The relation is better described by an S function and is in fluenced by age and heart size.
