The magnetic and electrical properties are reported in the new solid soluti
ons BaCo1-xCuxS2 and BaNi1-xFexS2. Both compounds show spin-glass-like beha
vior, although the type of spin frustrations is different with each other.
BaCo1-xCuxS2 shows a competition type spin-glass behavior with reentrant ph
enomenon from antiferromagnetic to spin-glass at low temperatures. BaNi1-xF
exS2 shows a dilute type spin-glass behavior together with super-paramagnet
ic properties. The temperature variation ol Fe-57 Mossbauer spectra in BaNi
0.8Fe0.2S2 is explicable in a framework of cluster-glass.
