Abstract
The thermokinetics of the formation reactions of cerium(III) n-dodecylbenze ne sulfonate and cerium(III) stearate are studied by using a microcalorimet er. On the basis of experimental and calculated results, three thermodynami cs parameters (the activation enthalpies, the activation entropies, the act ivation free energies), the rate constant, three kinetic parameters (the ac tivation energies, the pre-exponential constant and the reaction order) and the enthalpies of the reaction of preparing cerium(III) n-dodecylbenzene s ulfonate in the temperature range of 20-35 degreesC and cerium(III) stearat e in the temperature range of 44.6-62.8 degreesC are obtained. The results showed that the title reactions easily took place in the studied temperatur e.
