Abstract
We review the results of an X-ray (ASCA) survey of intergalactic medium met allicities in 33 groups and clusters of galaxies. The observed picture coul d bt: explained either by adopting top heavy IMF fur galaxies observed at h igh environment overdensities or by metal-rich SN II driven winds. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
