Abstract
Tantalum disilyl and silyl complexes [(Me3Si)(2)N](Me3SiN=)Ta(SiPh2But)(2) (1) and [(Me3Si)(2)N](Me2N)(Me3SiN=)Ta(SiPh2But) (2) have been prepared and characterized. They are; to our knowledge, the first known cyclopentadieny l-free group 5 imido disilyl and silyl complexes.
