Abstract
Alkynyl sulfoxides react with Cp2Zr(H)Cl in THF at room temperature to give the alpha -zirconated and beta -zirconated vinyl sulfoxides, which react w ith a wide range of electrophiles to give several types of di- or trisubsti tuted olefins, such as Z-vinyl sulfoxides and alpha- or beta -halo vinyl su lfoxides.
