Abstract
Multilayer Langmuir-Blodgett films of some azobenzene derivatives and bacte riorhodopsin are investigated using second harmonic generation. Two types o f dependence of transmitted second harmonic intensity on pump incidence ang le have been observed. The effect can be explained by different ratios of t he film domain average size to the second harmonic wavelength. (C) 2000 Els evier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
