Abstract
The determination of sulphide present in tannery waste water by two differe nt methods namely, iodimetry and ion selective electrode (ISE) has been cri tically analysed. The results obtained from iodimetry are fairly accurate, while there is a considerable deviation in the values obtained by ISE. The accuracy of the values obtained from the latter method depends on the diffe rent effluent streams from which the samples were collected. (C) 2000 Elsev ier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
