A. Marcilla et M. Beltran, EFFECT OF THE DMP CONCENTRATION ON THE THERMAL-DECOMPOSITION BEHAVIOROF PLASTISOLS FROM A COMMERCIAL PVC RESIN, Polymer degradation and stability, 57(1), 1997, pp. 101-107
The thermal decomposition behaviour of different PVC plastisols, deriv
ed from a commercial PVC resin and DMP, has been studied by thermograv
imetry. The results are compared with those corresponding to the resin
and the plasticizer by themselves. The appearance of a new phase, a t
ype of plasticized PVC, can be clearly observed as a consequence of th
e interaction between the resin and the plasticizer. The behaviour of
the three phases observed (i.e. plasticizer, plasticized PVC and resin
) has been studied as a function of the plasticizer concentration and
the heating rate, and remarkable differences have been noticed. (C) 19
