Abstract
Statistical distributions of the occurrence of dipeptide fragments in prote ins were studied. Various algorithms of ordering of tiles of frequency dist ribution were used, A correlation of occurrence of pairs of amino acid resi dues in various classes of proteins was established. The problem of the dyn amic compatibility of amino acid residues in protein structures is discusse d. The dynamic properties of frequently and seldom occurring dimers of amin o acids are compared.
