Abstract
Anion-exchange resins modified, vith metal-porphine (M-P,) have been investi gated to develop a solid catalyst in the oxidative reaction of phenols by O -2 in air, Co-P-r, which is easily prepared and separable from the reaction mixture, has been proved to accelerate the oxidative reaction of phenols s uch as 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole. The resulting main oxidative pro ducts were identified to be quinones by using the GC-MS method.
