Abstract
The molecular weight theory and calculation equation of copolymer were set up after consideration with the influence of composition and sequence distr ibution. The molecular weight for St/PMI copolymer was investigated by mean s of GPC connected with DR and UV detectors. From the mechanism of St/PMI c opolymerization, a model of molecular weight for St-PMI copolymer was propo sed to predicate the effects of initiator concentration, feed fraction and conversion on the molecular weight of St-PMI copolymer, The predicted resul ts coincided with the experimental data.
