Abstract
The activity of the Lyrid meteor shower in the years 1945-1947 and 195 2 is studied. For this purpose more than 470 visual records of Lyrid m eteors, observed at the Skalnate Pleso Observatory over a period of fo ur years, are analysed and converted to zenithal hourly rates. The cor rection factor cos' z(R) with the exponent gamma = 1.47 is used. (C) 1 997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
