In the cellular system used for automobile telephones and mobile telephones
, a beam tilt directing the radiation pattern of the base station antenna t
oward the ground becomes more important as the service area covered by the
base station becomes smaller. In the present research, a method is proposed
for determining the load impedance in the loaded wire antenna to realize t
he desired tilt angle, directive gain, and ratio of the radiated power in t
he side lobes versus the radiated power in the tilt angle direction specifi
