Abstract
A 9-to-1 optoelectronic receiver/switch module containing switched photodet ectors, monolithic microwave integrated circuit amplifiers and impedance tr ansformers has been constructed from chip-level and surface-mount component s. This module is designed for 10.5 to 16.0GHz local-oscillator inputs that are modulated onto lightwave carriers. Bias-switching of the photodetector s produces an on/off ratio of > 70 to 75dB at the combined microwave output .
