Abstract
Various types of inclusions have been studied in eight samples of andesites from the Shiveluch volcano. The glass composition of melt inclusions hoste d in plagioclase, amphibole, and orthopyroxene differ from bulk rock compos itions (57-61 wt % SiO2) and correspond to the dacite, rhyodacite, and rhyo lite (65-79 wt % SiO2) with low TiO2, MgO, FeO, and CaO contents and a wide range of K2O contents (1.9-6.5 wt %).
