Thermal stable polymers were prepared by radical polymerization of two
kinds of N-(substituted) maleimide containing heterocyclic groups. Th
ese monomers were readily copolymerized with styrene (ST), methyl meth
acrylate (MMA) and vinyl acetate (VA), and their reactivity ratios wer
e determined by different methods. The Alfrey-Price Q-e values were de
termined from copolymerization analysis. The thermal behaviors of the
polymers and copolymers were investigated by thermogravimetric method.
