NdBa2Cu3O7-delta(NB CO) thin films were deposited on (100) SrTiO3(STO)
substrates by the laser ablation method, The transition temperature o
f thin films was very sensitive to the deposition parameters such as s
ubstrate temperature, chamber pressure, and the distance between targe
t and substrate. Thin films of T-c similar to 93 K were obtained when
we deposited at 770 degrees C and 800 mTorr of oxygen pressure, The NB
CO thin films were grown epitaxially with c-axis preferred orientation
. The critical current density of the thin films was similar to 1x10(6
) A/cm(2) at 77 K. We have also studied the surface morphology with AF
M, and the typical smoothness is similar to 3 nm.
