Abstract
This paper proposes an algorithm based on the equivalence principle to calc ulate, straightforwardly in the time domain, the transient far field respon se of a two-dimensional structure. The algorithm implementation involves th e numerical evaluation of a time integral along the near- to Sal field conv ersion contour of the equivalent currents at the Huygens surface, obtained with the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method.
