Abstract
The Mathieu potential is used to define the crystal potential from which th e initial state wavefunction for the surface state is derived. The wavefunc tion is used for photoemission calculations in the case of free electron me tals Like Al and Be. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
