Abstract
A quadruple calix[4]arene has been synthesized efficiently from the known d iaminocalix[4]arene and 4,4'-biphenyldisulfonyl chloride injust one step (3 8% yield). The compound has been fully characterized including the determin ation of the X-ray crystal structure.
